Oklahoma Chapter One has teamed up with Claremore Veterans Affairs Center to grant wishes of those who served our country in the past by establishing Wish Upon a Blue Star, a program dedicated to assisting terminally ill Veterans.
In a co-effort, both organizations have joined in hopes of fulfilling wishes made by Veterans in failing health. Wishes may vary from a dinner out at a nice restaurant with friends, to a hot air balloon ride with their grandchildren.
While Claremore Veterans Affairs Center sets criteria on who qualifies, the Oklahoma Chapter One funds these wishes with help from donations.
Wish Upon a Blue Star does not consider these as final wishes, but rather a celebration of a soldier's life, filled with honor, love and appreciation.
